Heavy Haul & Specialized Transportation
Moving an oversized machine or heavy component takes more than selecting a trailer. We work with you and the carrier to review the load, plan transportation and coordinate the requirements that affect the move.
What we review before pickup
-
Start with the dimensions and weight of each piece as it will ship. Photos, drawings, attachments and support points help the carrier evaluate the load and identify missing information.
-
Deck height, usable length, axle configuration and loading method all matter. We coordinate equipment selection with the carrier and confirm whether loading or unloading requires ramps, a crane or other handling equipment.
-
The planned route must account for the loaded size and weight. We work with the carrier on known clearance concerns, road restrictions and other conditions that may affect routing or transit time.
-
When the shipment requires permits or escorts, we coordinate those requirements with the carrier as part of the transportation plan. Required approvals and travel restrictions can affect the pickup and delivery schedule.
-
A suitable highway route does not settle the last mile. We review site entrances, turning space, ground conditions and receiving appointments with the people at each location, including crane or rigging windows when relevant.
